Poor sleep has profound effects on your patient’s physiology. Almost every condition that you are seeing is worsened by poor sleep quantity and/or quality. And your patients are very frequently sleep-deprived. It’s practically an epidemic and we need to assess and consider sleep quality in every single patient.

Sleep hygiene is one of the most important tools for getting your patients well again. With the purchase of this Course, you will receive 30% off our Adrenal/Stress/Sleep Masterclass here.

As a society, our hours of sleep have decreased progressively over the last few decades along with the quality of our sleep. Screens, stress, obesity, mood disorders, work hours, chronic pain and many other factors are disrupting our patient’s natural, healthy sleep rhythms and also their health.

This Sleep Masterclass will help you recognise the tell-tale indications of poor sleep and sleep disorders and help you create care plans for much more reliable and restorative sleep. With better sleep, you will have much happier patients and get better health outcomes in almost every person.

The known effects of poor sleep go way beyond the common fatigue presentation. Poor sleep is implicated in;

  • Chronic pain
  • Chronic inflammation
  • Cardiovascular disease
  • Heart failure
  • Stroke
  • Hypertension
  • Heart attack
  • Obesity and diabetes
  • Impotence and low libido
  • Accelerated ageing
  • Mental health and functioning
  • Forgetfulness and impaired judgement
  • Poor cognitive function
  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Dementia
  • Suicide

The epidemic of insomnia is impacting peoples lives, jobs, relationships, health and it affects almost every one of your patients. The material that you will learn in this Masterclass will function as one of the foundations for your practice. Good sleep is so important, and so rare, that every one of your patient’s should have a sleep plan.

Dr Catherine Darley ND is a graduate of Bastyr University. She combines her knowledge of sleep disorders with her training as a naturopathic physician to bridge these two fields. As a naturopath, her expertise lies in providing natural and effective treatments for sleep problems. She treats people of all ages and especially enjoys working with children and their families.

She founded The Institute of Naturopathic Sleep Medicine in Seattle which is dedicated to patient care, public education about sleep health, and research on natural treatments for sleep disorders. Dr Darley regularly writes articles and speaks for professional audiences.

She has served as adjunct faculty at Bastyr University and the National University of Natural Medicine. She previously served on the Board of the Washington Association of Naturopathic Physicians. In her personal time, Catherine advocates for later secondary school start times and enjoys time outside in nature.

Dr Donielle (Doni) Wilson is a naturopathic doctor, professional midwife, clinical nutritionist, bestselling author, researcher, natural products formulator, and mother practicing in the New York tri-state area, and (Manhattan, Long Island and Connecticut) and “virtually” in regions throughout the world. She holds a doctorate in naturopathic medicine from Bastyr University and is a certified professional midwife and doula and a certified nutrition specialist.

A recognised expert on stress-related illness, Dr. Doni specialises in helping patients address and overcome autoimmune diseases such as Hashimoto’s thyroiditis, Crohn’s and rheumatoid arthritis; genetic mutations such as MTHFR; hormone imbalances; sleep and mood related issues; leaky gut, food sensitivities; allergies and frequent infections; and women’s health, fertility, and cervical dysplasia. In addition to being a bestselling author, she is a sought-after speaker and is regularly interviewed by media.

Sarah Hornsby’s (RDH) journey to becoming a myofunctional therapist started when she graduated from Eastern Washington University with a bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene.

As she started myofunctional therapy training and began helping her patients and learning more about her own orofacial myofunctional symptoms, she became increasingly interested in holistic health and wellness. She wanted to understand the root cause of not only oral myofunctional problems, but poor health in general.

In 2010, Sarah opened her practice, Faceology in Seattle. In 2014, she transformed Faceology into the world’s first fully-online telehealth myofunctional therapy practice. She has been working with patients from across the country and around the world since then.

In 2015, Sarah opened MyoMentor, a new branch of her business to support hygienists and dentists who want to become successful myofunctional therapists. She’s trained over 150 dental professionals in how to incorporate myofunctional therapy into dentistry.

Although Sarah has become a speaker, teacher, and leader in the field, it’s her journey through recognising and treating her own oral myofunctional symptoms that makes her so passionate about the field and spreading the message about this critical component of the dental health and overall wellness equation.
