COURSE DESCRIPTION

5-Module Online Series

Cancer care is an exciting and rapidly advanced field in natural medicine. To provide you with the latest in natural oncology we have developed a new webinar series with the leaders in this field sharing their most recent thoughts, protocols and research updates.

We have a vast range of remedies and techniques that we can apply in natural medicine and many of these are useful in oncology. In this series, we investigate some very interesting and potentially potent therapies. If you have discounted cancer care in your practice in the past, or put it in the too-hard basket, then this series is also for you.

Dr Janet Schloss opens with a thorough discussion on diets. There are many dietary options available and also many diet theories. Some of these don’t measure up and some are highly valuable. Janet shares the latest on the potential of specific foods, supplements and dietary modifications and how they affect tumour incidence and treatment.

Fever therapy has potent effects on immune activity and can enhance many treatments. Dr Gurdev Parmar’s first presentation for us delves into this novel and impressive therapy. There is substantial support for fever therapy for a variety of common conditions and it is especially useful in oncology.

Lise Alschuler returns with another oncology topic that investigates the nutritional opportunities to reduce the risk of specific tumours. She will discuss nutritional preventive options for several cancers including colorectal, breast, lung and prostate cancer.

Tina Kaczor will address the very interesting role of alkalinity in metabolic function with a specific focus on cancer. She will review pH physiology and how acidity can benefit the tumour. This area is receiving research attention and Tina will share some ‘buffer therapy’ options.

Dr Sasha Winters is a new presenter for us and will cover a hot topic in oncology right now. Off-label drugs are well worth considering in many tumours and in many cases are achieving outstanding results.

As usual, all of the presenters in this live webinar series are specialists and expert in their fields. This advances series will give you a novel and potentially highly effective options in your patient care.

YOUR PRESENTERS

dr-Tina-KaczorDr Tina Kaczor ND, FABNO is a naturopathic physician with board certification in naturopathic oncology. After graduating from the National College of Naturopathic Medicine (NCNM) in 2000, she completed a 2-year clinical residency in integrative oncology at Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She is well versed in conventional cancer care and this allows her to safely integrate natural therapies that complement the conventional treatments. Dr Kaczor’s ability to integrate conventional and natural therapies stem from her strong background and continuing education in the field of oncology and molecular biology.

She graduated magna cum laude from SUNY-Buffalo with dual undergraduate degrees in Biochemistry and English. While at SUNY, her hands-on molecular biology work resulted in a publication in the journal Plant Physiology. Currently, her professional focus is understanding the molecular environment of cancerous growth with the aim of altering the environment in such a way that the cancer is unable to thrive.

Dr Kaczor was formerly adjunct faculty at National College of Natural Medicine, overseeing students on a dedicated oncology clinic shift at the NCNM Health Clinic in Portland, Oregon. She is senior medical editor of the peer-reviewed Natural Medicine Journal, the official publication of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians.
